Applications Open for the SaRCiSP NGO Consortium

The SaRCiSP NGO Consortium (SNC) brings together grassroots NGOs and other organizations that carry SaRCiSP work into their own communities and participate in its interventions around the world.

Applications are now open at sarcisp.org/apply.

The Consortium connects locally rooted organizations through a shared framework for developing and delivering interventions. This allows organizations to draw on one another’s expertise, exchange practical experience and build on lessons learned elsewhere, while remaining grounded in the needs and priorities of their own communities.

Three Ways to Participate

Members are NGOs and other organizations that collaborate with SaRCiSP in their own communities or countries, or participate in its projects elsewhere. They contribute to the design and delivery of interventions and share knowledge and experience across the network.

Partners are organizations that fund or otherwise support SaRCiSP’s work from outside the communities where interventions take place. They contribute resources, expertise, technical capabilities and other forms of support, with results followed through SaRCiSP’s shared reporting arrangements.

Associates are individuals who wish to contribute their expertise, experience or practical skills in their own right, whether or not they belong to an organization. They participate in the Consortium’s collaborative work and the exchange of knowledge between members.

What the Consortium Offers

Participation opens opportunities to collaborate on SaRCiSP projects across regions, contribute to the development of new interventions and draw on capabilities distributed throughout the network.

Members can propose projects for collaboration with SaRCiSP, drawing on its frameworks, methodologies and network to complement their own expertise and strengthen their capacity. They can also seek specialized expertise from other member organizations and support from Consortium partners.

The Consortium provides a shared environment for developing interventions, from initial research and design through to implementation. Members and Associates can contribute to think tanks addressing open questions in resilience, impact, governance and finance, while sharing insights that may inform work in other communities.

Organizations can also explore joint initiatives with other members, participate in consortium-based collaborations and pursue collective grant applications where their capabilities and objectives align.

Building Across Communities

SaRCiSP approaches environmental and systemic challenges through interventions designed around the needs of specific communities. The Consortium enables organizations working on these challenges to collaborate within a common structure, while bringing their own local knowledge, relationships and capabilities to the work.

The aim is to strengthen what individual organizations can accomplish by connecting them to a wider body of experience, expertise and resources, and by enabling knowledge gained in one place to inform interventions elsewhere.

Applications are now open for NGOs and other organizations interested in becoming members, organizations wishing to participate as partners, and individuals seeking to contribute as Associates.
